Quality and sustainability go hand in hand.
For too long the cashew trade has been anonymous. By the time cashews are on the shelves, their roots have been processed out of them. Too many stale planes, trains, and factories between first pick and first bite. We see a different way, and the good news is – it leaves a better taste in everyone’s mouths.Unlike other producers, we process where we grow, saving tonnes of CO2 and thousands of air miles. From the natural home of the cashew in Côte d'Ivoire, we’ve built less of a supply ‘chain’ and more a network of sustainable business relationships. The farmers know the factory workers. They can look each other in the eye and trust the crop is treated with the respect it deserves.
The fair share of the value they’ve created then stays with them. We invest it back into the local community; enabling the financial independence of our predominantly-female team, providing education and healthcare to improve the wellbeing and prospects of the next generation of Ivoiriennes. It’s an approach to responsible business that goes beyond labels and certifications (though you can see we have all those too) and makes it a successful, lived reality.
Ultimately, all this love, care, and attention to detail translate to fresher, better-tasting cashews. From the moment you try them, the difference is obvious. There’s another giveaway of their quality besides the superior taste. With their signature ivory colour, they carry the place they call home. Good food tastes of where it comes from.
